Arizona ADL Participating in Latino/Jewish Dialogue

Arizona Regional Director Bill Straus and Mexican Consul General Victor Manuel Trevino were the keynote speakers at the second Jewish/Latino Dialogue event held at Phoenix College. The general purpose of these events is to give participants from both communities an expanded opportunity to learn more about each other’s culture and community and to strengthen the alliance between both.

ADL is a primary sponsor of the effort, which also includes partners such as Valle del Sol, the American Jewish Committee, Mi Familia Vota and Chicanos Por La Causa. Klezmer music welcomed the attendees, who then dined on Mexican food. Consul General Trevino and Bill Straus both addressed the powerful commonalities of the two communities and the values we share with each other.

Breakout groups followed and the evening ended with a continuing commitment to hone in on specific goals prior to the next event.
