ADL Trains Future Law Enforcement Officers in Hate Crime

Date: June 6, 2013

ADL’s Associate Director facilitated a 3 hour workshop on hate crime for 35 aspiring law enforcement officers at the Santa Rosa Junior College Public Safety Training Center.  The session focused on understanding what is meant by the term “hate crime” under the California Penal Code; investigative methods, such as identifying bias indicators and securing the crime scene; and best practices for interviewing victims, witnesses, and community members.
