Abraham Foxman’s address, “Palestinian Unilateralism: What a declaration of Statehood and action at the U.N. means for the Peace Process,” available on-line and via podcast.

Date: August 17, 2011

On August 17th, Abraham H. Foxman, ALD National Director, addressed the City Club of Cleveland at a special forum. Foxman addressed the Palestinian intent to go to the United Nations this September to promote recognition of a unilaterally-declared independent state. This unilateral declaration of statehood raises a number of serious questions about the future of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and Arab efforts to delegitimize the Jewish State. During this special forum, Mr. Foxman, a leader in the fight against anti-Semitism who routinely confers with Israeli, Palestinian and other world leaders, discussed the implications of this U.N. action on Israel’s options for peace negotiations, for the Palestinian people and the role of the international community. A question-and-answer session followed his remarks.
