ADL’s Miller Early Childhood Initiative Launched in Pittsburgh

Date: November 11, 2011

On November 11 ADL staff launched ADL’s Miller Early Childhood Initiative workshop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 30 participants were from the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, the largest agency created by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to provide educational opportunities and options that maximize achievement for all learners in Allegheny county's 42 suburban school districts as well as pre k and kindergarten teachers from the Pittsburgh Public School system. The workshop was split over two days and will continue with a follow up workshop in February.

This workshop was funded through a transition grant from Heinz and awarded to the Pittsburgh Association for the Education of Young Children (PAECY) in 2011.
