The Agnon School Continues to Address Issues of Bullying and Bias in the Classroom

Date: September 15, 2011

As part of their commitment to addressing issues of bullying and bias in the classroom, The Agnon School worked with ADL facilitators during a three hour A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® workshop. Throughout the year, The Agnon School has participated in ADL’s CyberAlly and Becoming an Ally trainings. During this most recent training, Agnon teachers learned concrete strategies for both themselves and their students to use when address name calling and bullying and also reviewed specific curriculum lessons that can be used with students as a proactive approach to address these issues.

The teachers were also introduced to Curriculum Connections, a resource on ADL website that provides complete lesson plans for teachers covering a variety of issues. Curriculum Corrections can be found at: http://www.adl.org/education/curriculum_connections/
