ADL In Concert Against Hate
ADL In Concert Against Hate is the Washington, DC region’s signature event at which we honor individuals who have demonstrated tremendous courage and determination in confronting hatred and intolerance. Our heroes include those who chose to fight back, but also individuals who were themselves victims of hate, extremism, and terrorism. Their stories give us hope and inspire us to strive to make our world free from fear and hate. The ADL Concert is held annually at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Celebrity hosts narrate the honorees’ stories, which are interwoven with musical pieces performed by the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Emil de Cou. Hosts have included acclaimed actors and personalities such as Liev Schreiber, Gabriel Byrne, Matthew Broderick, Rod Steiger, Ruby Dee, Barbara Walters, Leonard Nimoy, Judd Hirsch, and the casts of the award-winning televisions shows “The Wire,” “Mad Men,” and “GLEE.” To learn more about the ADL Concert, please visit www.adlconcert.org.
