Partnering with the Franklin Institute on Race Exhibit
Date: October 13, 2009
This summer, the Franklin Institute hosted the Race, Are We So Different Exhibit. ADL partnered with the Franklin and conducted anti-bias workshops with the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, Philadelphia School District high school students, and representatives of educational and cultural institutions throughout the region.
The workshops explored identity and language, and how to challenge bias and prejudice in a diverse community. One high school workshop participant acknowledged that seeing the Race Exhibit and participating in the ADL's A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute workshop "made us think differently about how people are seen and how they are judged."
