Stanley Kaufelt Announces Million Dollar Gift in Honor of ADL’s Centennial at Lecture Series Kick-Off at Boca West

Date: January 25, 2013

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) kicked off its 2013 Centennial Lecture Series at Boca West Country Club on January 14th with over 700 guests in attendance. Stanley Kaufelt was presented with ADL’s first Centennial Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his years of dedication, commitment and magnanimous support of ADL.  During Mr. Kaufelt’s acceptance remarks, he graciously announced a one million dollar gift to the Anti-Defamation League.

“I’m proud to say that I’ve supported ADL for over 25 years, and I greatly admire the work that ADL does to combat anti-Semitism and bigotry, not only in the United States, but in Israel and around the world,” Stanley Kaufelt told the audience of ADL supporters. “While there are many Jewish organizations that champion important causes, there is no other organization that does the type of important work that ADL does.  I want to congratulate ADL on the past 100 years of success – and to ensure even greater success for ADL at the start of its second century, I’m making a meaningful gift to ADL that comes from both my heart and my finances of $1 million.”

ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman presented ADL’s prestigious Centennial Lifetime Achievement Award to Stanley Kaufelt and remarked that:

“Stanley inspires me through his extraordinarily benevolent and caring heart. His commitment to the Jewish community all of these years, and especially to ADL, is immeasurable.  His dedication and support of Israel, the Jewish community, civil rights and justice – are exemplary…Stanley’s profound understanding of the challenges that the Jewish community and the State of Israel face has made him a driving force right here at Boca West as an actively involved ADL Boca West underwriter, decision-maker and supporter.”

The evening’s keynote speaker was Bob Woodward, noted columnist and Pulitzer Prize winning author, who provided a presentation entitled, “Presidential Leadership and the Price of Politics.” The ADL 2013 Centennial Lecture Series at Boca West is chaired by Gerry Goldberg.
