N. Miami Beach Senior High School Students Graduate ADL Anti-Bullying Peer Training

Date: November 9, 2012

On November 8, 2012, twenty-two juniors and seniors from North Miami Beach Senior High School graduated from ADL's three-day A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE INSTITUTE Peer Training Program. The Peer Trainers will be facilitating bullying prevention and anti-bias lessons for the rest of the school year in 10th grade classrooms at their school.

During one of the final activities, one of the students shared that he was bullied in the past. He started crying remembering the painful memories, but then he said something that surprised us all. He said he was going to use his newly gained knowledge to prevent another student from experiencing the type of bullying and name calling he experienced.

This Peer Training Program was generously sponsored by the Dr. John T. McDonald Foundation.
