Civil Rights Committee
In South Florida, multiple civil rights committees convene for lunch every other month to discuss ADL's civil rights agenda. Issues discussed include, but are not limited to: promoting equality and justice for all, exposing extremist groups and individuals, and safeguarding religious liberties by protecting the constitutionally mandated separation of church and state.
The committee also helps ADL staff:
- Plan and implement meetings and programs with national, state and local government officials.
- Respond to incidents of anti-Semitism, racism, discrimination and church-state problems.
- Debate and vote on policy recommendations for ADL's National Commission.
