ADL Presents Cyberbullying Summit for Miami-Dade Teachers

Date: March 2, 2010

To help teachers in the Miami-Dade School District recognize and confront cyberbullying, a growing threat that affects almost half of all U.S. teens through harm inflicted via electronic media, the Anti-Defamation League and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Mental Health and Crisis Management Services held a one-day conference on March 1, 2010 for 150 educators and community leaders.

At the conference, "Where Bullying Meets Technology: Preventing & Responding to Cyberbullying," awareness of the problem was increased and educators were provided with the tools to empower young people to respond to online bullying, social aggression, harassment and hate through interactive breakout sessions.
