ADL Needs a Few Good Men…and Women

Date: December 21, 2011

On November 16th the ADL hosted a successful event at Knollwood Country Club, ADL Needs a Few Good Men…and Women to raise funds for many of their local programs including No Place for Hate(R), their anti-bullying program and local civil rights programming.  As usual Knollwood provided excellent food and drink and then entertainment was provided by actor and comedian Kevin Pollak.  Kevin kept the audience laughing with his outstanding imitations of Christopher Walken, Peter Falk, Captain Kirk and Larry King and others.  The Detroit ADL has two major fund raisers a year, in the late spring and mid fall to provide funds for many of their educational and programmatic forums.  This year the International Affairs Committee has become quite active and is focused primarily on Israel and the issues facing Israel and the world coming from a nuclear Iran and the Civil Right’s Committee has focused on the passage of the anti-bullying bill that finally happened in the Michigan Legislature.
