Glass Leadership Institute and Staenberg Fellowship
Note: We are currently pulling together the 2011-2012 Glass Program. The Staenberg Fellows are currently working on a number of joint programs with the Young Friends Division of the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and Learning Center and the Young Professionals Division of the St. Louis Jewish Federation.
Recognizing the need to build a younger constituency, this program provides a forum to educate young Jewish leaders about ADL and contemporary issues relating to the Jewish people and Israel. The GLI is a tool to help build the next generation of ADL leaders by providing these promising young adults with leadership skills and an understanding of the Jewish community both in the U.S. and abroad.
Between October 2011 and June 2012, monthly meetings, participants are introduced to the history and mission of the Anti-Defamation League and the major challenges facing the organization and its constituency today. Specific sessions focus on ADL's domestic and international agenda, with topics ranging from hate crimes legislation to the Middle East conflict. The program includes a trip to ADL's Washington Leadership Conference and a graduation program.
Following their year of participation in Glass, graduates have an opportunity to become Staenberg Fellows. Endowed by the Staenberg Family Foundation, the Fellows program provides another year of discussion, interaction and networking with a goal toward the annual creation of a community impact event or project.
