25 Schools Sign Up for 2009-2010 No Place For Hate® Program!
Date: September 2, 2009
Before the month of August even came to a close, the 25th school signed up for the final available slot to participate in the Mountain States Region's 2009-2010 No Place For Hate® program. For a list of Colorado and Wyoming schools participating in the program this academic year, click here.
The program calls for school communities to work together and develop projects that enhance the appreciation of diversity and foster harmony amongst diverse groups. The school communities will work hard during the school year to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry, culminating in a designation at the end of the year as a No Place For Hate® school.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors – The Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado, The David and Laura Merage Foundation, and Qwest Communications – this campaign continues to be free to schools in Colorado and Wyoming. Thanks also to for support from The Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation.
