11 Law Firms Participate in ADL's Inaugural Summer Associate Research Program
Date: June 17, 2008
U.S. District Court Judge John L. Kane spoke about "Practicing Law" at the opening reception for ADL Mountain States Region's Summer Associate Research Program on June 5, 2008 at the law offices of Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C.
The program provides law firm summer associates (second- and third-year law students) with the opportunity to engage in significant research on key civil rights issues of the day. This is the first year for the program in Denver, where it has drawn the participation of 11 Denver law firms and 47 summer associates.
Throughout the two-month program, attorneys will supervise summer associates as they complete pro bono legal research on cutting edge civil rights issues facing ADL. They will research national and local issues ADL has encountered in its work, including matters of religious liberty, immigration, free speech/hate speech, civil rights, homelessness, reproductive rights, and international law.
At the conclusion of their research, the summer associates will produce memoranda that will serve as critical resources for ADL's advocacy year round.
The 11 Denver law firms participating in ADL's inaugural Summer Associate Research Program are: Brownstein Hyatt & Farber & Schrek, LLP; Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP; Dorsey & Whitney LLP; Faegre & Benson LLP; Hogan & Hartson LLP; Holland & Hart LLP; Holme, Roberts & Owen LLP; Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C.; Kutak Rock LLP; Morrison & Foerster LLP; and Otten Johnson Robinson Neff & Ragonetti P.C.
