Colorado and Wyoming High Schools Earn 2009 Designation as No Place For Hate
From Colorado Springs to Laramie and from Durango to Platteville, 21 schools have spent the 2008-9 school year working to earn their designations as No Place for Hate®. April and May were punctuated by ceremonies celebrating these designations. Rangeview High School became the first school in the Aurora (Colorado) Public School District to earn its designation at a ceremony attended by Aurora School Board members and Bill Johnson, columnist for the Denver Post. Johnson wrote about the ADL's program and its effect on the student body at Rangeview in a column today, "School Aims to Expel Hate."
