Record Number Participate in MLK Marade
Date: January 31, 2008
A record number of ADL Board members, their children, participants of ADL's Glass Leadership-Institute, A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute Facilitators, and community members joined ADL staff and marched in Denver's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Marade.
Everyone enjoyed bagels, donuts, hot chocolate and coffee and listened to a recording of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech at ADL before bundling up and carpooling to the Dr. King Memorial in City Park.
Despite the record low of 8 degrees we didn't loose one marcher along the 5K parade route! Mark your calendar now and plan to join us next year for the 2009 Marade on January 19th. Remember it's "a day on, not a day off!"
