ADL Prepares Long Island and Brooklyn Communities for Westboro Baptist Church Protests
The Westboro Baptist Church, a Topeka, Kansas-based anti-gay group best known for picketing the funerals of American soldiers, recently announced that it will picket several locations in the Great Neck and Brooklyn areas of New York. The Anti-Defamation League’s New York Regional office has reached out to these institutions, both Jewish and non-Jewish, and offered its background and expertise on the group.
