No Place for HateĀ®

HOW TO BECOME A NO PLACE FOR HATE® SCHOOL

• START by completing the enclosed application form. Once ADL approves your application, you will receive the No Place For Hate® Resource Guide, listing some 30 possible projects.
• CREATE a No Place For Hate® committee or team to plan, coordinate and oversee the schools anti-bias projects. The team should reflect the diversity of your student body and include a cross-section of the schools staff.
• ISSUE the No Place For Hate® Resolution of Respect affirming a commitment to promoting respect and challenging bigotry in all forms and have individual students and faculty sign the resolution.
• COMPLETE three or more anti-bias/diversity education activities from the No Place For Hate® Resource Guide by April.
• SUBMIT one Activity Fulfillment form for each activity your school has completed.
• RECEIVE a customized No Place For Hate® banner from ADL and be among those designated a No Place For Hate® School.

By participating in No Place For Hate®, your school has the opportunity to reduce bullying, name-calling and other expressions of bias; create a safer learning environment; promote unity and pride; and live by the core value of respect for others.
