Security Awareness for Jewish Institutions
A longtime leader in security preparedness, the ADL North Texas/Oklahoma Office works closely with Jewish institutions throughout the region to encourage them to have adequate protection, by providing practical advice on security concerns to synagogues and other Jewish institutions.
No Place for Hate®
ADL's No Place for Hate® Initiative provides educators and students with resources to help them include anti-bias and diversity efforts as part of their classroom and campus. This initiative, underwritten by ADL supporters, helps schools and after-school programs build environments where prejudice and hatred are rejected and diversity is respected.
Confronting Anti-Semitism
Our Confronting Anti-Semitism Program empowers the Jewish community, students and adults alike, to respond to anti-Semitic incidents and to challenge the persistent anti-Semitic stereotypes that are often at the root of these incidents.
Law Enforcement Connection
Today, domestic hate groups and anti-government extremist groups can be found throughout the North Texas/Oklahoma Region, and threats from Muslim radicals have also emerged in recent years. That is why the ADL Office has created strong partnerships with local, state and federal law enforcement departments, offering a variety of interactive training opportunities on hate crimes and extremism, sharing monthly prepared bulletins and distributing useful ADL produced resource guides.
Religion in Public Schools
The issue of the proper role of religion in the public schools continues to be the subject of great controversy.
Glass Leadership Institute
The Glass Leadership Institute (GLI) consists of a specially selected group of individuals between the ages of 25-40 who are interested in learning about ADL's mission to “stop the defamation of the Jewish people…and to secure justice and fair treatment for all."
