ADL Trains Over 175 Education Students in Holocaust Curriculum
Date: October 27, 2009
Thanks to a generous grant from the Righteous Persons Foundation, more than 150 education students and teachers recently received training in Echoes and Reflections: A Multimedia Curriculum on the Holocaust. Associate Regional Director Matthew Friedman led four separate trainings at three different universities during October, 2009, including over 50 graduate education students at Loyola Marymount University and California State University, Northridge.
At UCLA, Friedman was joined by Bearing Witness™ and Holocaust Workshop alumna Katharine Guerrero who co-facilitated a training for over 100 students and faculty in the Teacher Education Program. Earlier in the Summer, Friedman also led an additional training for 26 education students at LMU. Echoes and Reflections is a curricular resource co-created through a partnership of ADL, the USC Shoah Foundation for Visual History and Education, and Yad Vashem.
