Crowds See Film Screening, Play about Leo Frank

ADL supporters and community members attended the Los Angeles premiere of the new PBS feature length documentary, The People v. Leo Frank, which featured a Q&A with director Ben Loeterman and Regional Board Chair Nicole Mutchnik.
ADL was founded in 1913, the same year Leo Frank was convicted of murdering Mary Phagan, a young employee at his Atlanta pencil factory. Frank's lynching in 1915 galvanized both ADL and the Ku Klux Klan. It was through ADL's campaign to exonerate Frank that he was officially pardoned in 1986. The Pacific Southwest Region also participated in a special event for "Parade," the musical about the Leo Frank case at the Mark Taper Forum, joining with the Jewish Journal and Center Theatre Group for a pre-theatre program featuring ADL Lifetime National Commissioner Bruce J. Einhorn.
