Jerusalem Post Military Correspondent to Speak on Iran

Date: October 1, 2009

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Plains States Region will be presenting a talk by Yaakov Katz, the military correspondent and defense analyst for The Jerusalem Post, the Middle East's leading English daily newspaper where he served as the chief correspondent during the 2005 Gaza Strip disengagement and covered the 2006 war in Lebanon.

Mr. Katz writes extensively on Iran's nuclear program and Israel's options in the face of a mounting existential threat. The public will have a chance to hear Mr. Katz address this timely subject on October 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center Auditorium.

This summer, Mr. Katz also reported that Iran will soon have the capacity to fire conventional or nuclear-tipped missiles into Europe.

"A nuclear-armed Iran poses urgent concerns across the globe," ADL Plains States Regional Director Alan Potash said. "Considering these grave times, we are pleased to have Mr. Katz share his insight and expertise on this critical issue."
