ADL presents at the Institute for Mexicans Abroad meeting

Monica Bauer, Community Coordinator for the Anti-Defamation League San Diego Regional Office, presented at the Plenary Meeting of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad, which took place on November 13-17 in San Diego, CA.

Ms. Bauer spoke about the history and work of the Anti-Defamation League, the extensive research that ADL conducts on hate, nativist and anti-immigrant groups, and how the League works to prevent and combat discrimination through education and exposing hate speech against Hispanics. She shared how ADL works to prevent, track and prosecute hate crimes.

The presentation highlighted the collaboration between the Anti-Defamation League and the Mexican Embassy and its consulates to combat bias against Latinos and immigrants. She concluded her presentation with the list of ADL offices around the country and invited all the advisors to contact their closest ADL office.
