ADL Works with Local Law Enforcement during High Holy Days
Date: October 1, 2009
Community synagogues thanked the Anti-Defamation League for arranging phantom cars and extra patrols with the San Diego Police Department during High Holy Day services.
Extra security was particularly important this year following a "wave of hate" of ideologically motivated violence including the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting and the foiled bomb plot targeting two New York synagogues.
Maintaining relationships with local law enforcement is extremely valuable for our community's Jewish institutions.
