ADL's Miller Early Childhood Initiative: Promoting an Appreciation for Diversity

In collaboration with the YMCA Child Resource Service (CRS), the Anti-Defamation League San Diego Regional Office provided families in the South Bay area the opportunity to attend two Miller Early Childhood Initiative diversity education workshops, one option for adults only and the second option including their preschool aged children. Both workshops utilize interactive activities to educate and encourage families to increase their self-awareness and to respect and appreciate the differences of others. After participating in one of the activities with her daughter, a parent shared that her child can now “notice the beauty of others, regardless of differences.”
