ADL San Diego, Miller Early Childhood Initiative

“Everyone Gains From Learning”

Date: December 31, 2011

Research shows that for children between the ages of 3-5, the impressions and ideas they form are lasting.

In collaboration with the Anti-Defamation League, the Cajon Valley Union School District provided their early childhood educators with diversity training from ADL’s Miller Early Childhood Initiative curriculum.

After the workshop, educators felt empowered to continue implementing bias-free initiatives. One participant shared, “This program has given me a new look at my class and helped me see issues through a child’s eyes.” Another participant stated that she “really enjoyed the experience and the presenters” and that “it opened up [her] awareness and understanding of personal prejudice and diversity.”

The Miller Early Childhood Initiative workshops are delivered throughout San Diego County through the generous support of the Leichtag Foundation. If you are interested in bringing The Initiative workshops to your early childhood center, please call the ADL San Diego office.
