Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is a growing problem that affects almost half of all U.S. teens. Many adults are unaware of the problem and schools are often unsure how to respond to cyberbullying activities. ADL’s new interactive program helps schools develop a comprehensive approach to prevent and intervene against harassment and bullying through electronic media.
Hispanic Community Outreach
Jewish and Hispanic members of ADL’s Hispanic Outreach Committee seek to build bridges of understanding and honest communication between members of the Hispanic and Jewish communities in San Diego.
Confronting Anti-Semitism
Our Confronting Anti-Semitism Program empowers the Jewish community to respond to anti-Semitic incidents and to challenge the persistent anti-Semitic stereotypes that are often at the root of these incidents.

Rich with visual history testimony integrated into 10 multi-part lessons, this educational resource offers curriculum connections to issues of diversity, prejudice, bigotry, and modern-day genocide.

ProteAs a leading provider of anti-bias education and diversity programs, the Anti-Defamation League’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute recognizes that attitudes and beliefs affect actions, and that each of us can have an impact on others, and ultimately the world we live in.
Bearing Witness™ Institute
The San Diego Bearing Witness™ Summer Institute for Catholic School Teachers focuses on the history of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust as a starting point for addressing issues of diversity in contemporary society, with special attention given to the teaching of these topics in a Catholic School setting.
Manhigim Student Leadership Program
The Manhigim Institute is a unique educational opportunity for students in 10th and 11th grades, combining education and social action through a proactive approach to the issues that confront all of today’s youth. Participants in the Anti-Defamation League’s Manhigim Institute will begin to develop expertise and knowledge in a specialized area of interest and are trained as Peer Leaders.
Joseph H. & Dorothy Goldberg Counterterrorism Conference
This ADL six-session counter-terrorism training for local and federal law enforcement is held in conjunction with our partners, the San Diego Police and Sheriff’s Departments, the San Diego Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Border Patrol, and the Harbor Police. Guest speakers come from across the United States and Israel to share their expertise with a cadre of trainees over a four-day period.
Interfaith Outreach
Fosters a better understanding between the interfaith communities of San Diego by connecting the ADL to local religious leaders and addresses issues of mutual concern.
Inter-Agency Safety & Security Committee
Consortium of local Jewish institutions working to promote safety and provide emergency notification to the Jewish community. On-site evaluations performed and recommendations given for security measures at Jewish day schools, camps, synagogues, and agencies.
Civil Rights Committee
Volunteer attorneys and community leaders address, review, and resolve discrimination complaints, church-state issues, reported acts of anti-Semitism, and civil rights violations. The committee holds programs with a variety of organizations including the San Diego Bar Association and the Fair Housing Council.
Glass Leadership Institute
The Glass Leadership Institute is designed for a select group of young professionals as an up-close and personal opportunity to expand their knowledge about the nation’s premier human relations organization. Participants are expected to commit themselves to attend monthly sessions throughout the year and attend the annual Shana Amy Glass National Leadership Conference, held each spring, in Washington DC.
