Applicants Sought for 2012 Walter Kase Teacher Excellence Awards

ADL's Southwest Region is seeking applicants for the 2012 Walter Kase Teacher Excellence Awards.  The award recognizes three Region IV educators who:

• Emphasize the value of diversity by making it an integral part of the curriculum.
• Challenge students to question stereotypes and examine their own prejudices and thos of society.
• Empower students to reject hate in all of its forms.

The deadline for applications to be sumitted is February 17, 2012.  The Walter Kase Teacher Excellence Awards will be given at a luncheon on May 2, 2012.  For more information, call ADL's Southwest Regional Office at 713-627-3490.
