Deadline For Becoming No Place for Hate® Right Around The Corner

Date: February 17, 2009

April 15 is Tax Day, the day your federal income taxes are due, but it's also the day to meet another deadline.  It's the last day you can turn in your forms if you want to become No Place for Hate® for the 2008-2009 school year.

Schools in ADL's Southwest Region have been working on their No Place for Hate® designations all year.  Most already have signed their Resolution of Respect, and completed some or all of the anti-bias activities required to achieve the No Place for Hate® designation.  But there is one final step: filling out your forms and sending them to ADL's Southwest Regional Offices in Austin or Houston, either via fax or through the mail.

You may send your forms in all at once, or as you complete them, whichever works best for you.  Forms are available online as pdf's to be downloaded and printed.  They may be faxed to ADL's offices or sent via mail using the fax numbers and mailing addresses at the bottom of the forms.  In order to qualify as  No Place for Hate® during the 2008-2009 school year, however, the forms must be in by April 15.

For more information,  or to have a No Place for Hate® packet sent to you, call ADL's Southwest Regional Office in Houston at 713-627-3490, and in Austin at 512-735-8012.
