Goldensohn Grant Helps Southwest Region Create Speaker's Bureau on Anti-Semitism
Date: October 20, 2009
Anti-Semitism persists, despite all the efforts of ADL and its supporters to fight it constantly. With that constant battle in mind, ADL's Southwest Regional Office, as part of the Goldensohn Initiative to Fight Anti-Semitism, has created a Speaker's Bureau on Anti-Semitism that can provide you and your friends, family, or congregation with the latest information on anti-Semitism and what is being done to combat it.
Thanks to a generous bequest that created the Edith and Sidney Goldensohn Fund of ADL's Fund for the Future, nearly a dozen speakers are available to address all aspects of anti-Semitism.
ADL's Goldensohn Initiative to Fight Anti-Semitism, chaired by ADL Vice Chair Karyl Van Tassel, utilized the services of national speech-giving expert Annette Sondock to train ADL board members for the Speaker's Bureau. Co-chaired by former ADL board chairs Burton Manne, Louis Silver and Helen Spector, the ADL Speaker's Bureau on Anti-Semitism will help educate the region's Jewish community about local, national and global anti-Semitism, effective countermeasures, and ADL's work to build bridges of respect between the Jewish community and other segments of the population.
Speakers are available to community groups. For more information or to request a speaker, call ADL's Southwest Regional Office at 713-627-3490.
