Dangers of Cyberbullying Highlighted for Chicago Police Department

ADL recently trained more than 275 Chicago Police Department officers on the dangers of cyberbulling that young adults face in today's society. The day-long training increased awareness on the impact of cyberbullying and informed special resource officers about their legal and ethical responsibilities to respond to this form harassment.

Staff examined ways in which police, school resource officers, students, parents and administrators can effectively address this growing problem. The law enforcement officers were provided with strategies for how to effectively take action in order to create a safer and more respectful environment for students.
