Summer Associate Research Program
Now in its fifth year, ADL's Summer Associate Research Program gives participating associates the opportunity to research topics of particular interest to ADL, with respect to the following five categories: immigration, international issues, hate speech and civil rights, religious freedom, and reproductive choice.
The 2008 Summer Associates represent twelve Chicago firms and one Indiana firm. Under the direction of a supervising partner, each of the 46 law students researched one of 32 assigned topics and provided a memorandum to ADL.
The ultimate objective of the annual program is to provide ADL’s Regional and National staff with cutting-edge legal research on civil rights issues while exposing young attorneys to ADL’s mission and the importance of pro bono work.
Firms participating in this year's program are: Bingham McHale LLP; Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP; Foley & Lardner LLP; Greenberg Traurig LLP; Jenner & Block LLP; Jones Day; Kirkland & Ellis LLP; McDermott Will & Emery LLP; Reed Smith LLP; Seyfarth Shaw LLP; Shefsky & Froelich; Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, and Vedder Price P.C.
